Conflating issues of the private and public, this work delves into the very real loss of personal privacy in post 9/11 America. The bathroom stalls were set up to include a number of ways for stall users to invade each other’s personal space during the most private of acts. In one, a plexi-glass spacer was set up on the shared wall of the stalls, with an two way speaker set up between them, to promote vision and listening (and perhaps conversation).
