Three Goats

Three goat carcass piñatas, modeled on found photographs of goat carcasses and manufactured by a custom piñata company, hang in the gallery’s giant picture window. Recalling a butcher shop window, and more specifically the proximity of the gallery to the historical Fulton Market meat warehousing district, the piñatas ask the viewer to participate by taking a swing at them.
